Organised by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, under the distinguished Patronage of the Head of State, the 5th edition of the Digital Innovation Week will take place from 27 to 31 July 2026 in Yaounde, under the theme: "Protecting Cyberspace from the Misuse of Artificial Intelligence and Promoting Digital Patriotism ”.
Under the Distinguished Patronage of the President of the Republic, the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications organizes from 27 - 31 July, at Yaounde, the 5th Edition of Cameroon ICT Innovation Week, under the theme: "Protecting Cyberspace from Misuse of Artificial Intelligence and Promoting Digital Patriotism”.
As part of the activities linked to this event, a competition called the “National Competition for the Best ICT Project” is being organized from 22 June to 31 July 2026, with the award of the Special Prize of the President of the Republic to the best project.
As part of this 5th edition, a special attention will be paid to innovative initiatives in strategic sectors such as: Health, Education, Agriculture, Fintech, Cybersecurity, Governance and Public Services, Environment and Sustainable Development, the figt against Disinformation, and the promotion of Digital Patriotism.
The concept of "Digital Patriotism" involves prioritizing, defending, and promoting digital technologies, platforms, and services developed within a country. In its civic dimension, it refers to a set of attitudes that reflect love for one's country and are expressed digital means.
